:: winter song
ahhh. a beautiful winter monday tucked in at home. i've got my big orange cat purring at my feet. a mug of fresh coffee in my hand. and the ingredients for a loaf of bread waiting patiently on the kitchen table.
during this stretch off work, i've been striving to make use of my time. organizing. creating. researching. i've been devouring information about urban homesteading. this spring i am planning on planting and cultivating my own fruits and vegetables in my backyard. growing sustainable produce in the heart of the city might prove a bit challenging-- but i'm excited to get going. next week i have the opportunity to take part in the detroit garden project-- which will supply me with seeds, plants and support. i'm greatly looking forward to sharing the progress in this space.

what's your kitty's name? my friend is pregnant and i'd love for her to least understand the benefits of having a midwife. i don't want to give her a book that will freak her out, so i was wondering if you have something you would recommend.
ReplyDeletewhat a great goal. i recently watched "food, inc." so the idea of locally grown produce has been on my mind. look forward to hearing how this goes for you.
