:: the summer 2010 book post

they've been everywhere.
all across blogland.
and i thought it high time i dedicated a post of my own to my current reads.
i am forever engrossing myself in a novel.
and summer always seems to further fuel my reader-lust.
so here it is.
the books that have most recently captivated me.
and those that are still on the bench.
waiting for their turn to get on the field.
and hit a home run.

what are you reading on these gorgeous summer days?

I hope they make a movie out of it!! and usually, I don't care to read the book and then watch a movie of it, but I this case I would love to!! I hope you are having a nice weekend!

  7. I've read quite a few of these! Plain Truth is great, so is The Help and Eat, Pray, Love. I have a newfound love of Emily Giffin and will devour anything she writes. I also love Chelsea Handler!

Right now I'm reading Little Bee. It's pretty wonderful!

  15. ooh there are so many on my list - too many. It's a bit overwhelming. I joined the Foodie Book Club from (never)home maker and that's been forcing me to read at least one book a month, which has been awesome. It's really gotten me into reading again. Right now I'm reading 'The Butcher & The Vegetarian' and it's hilarious. I'm also reading some of James Herriott's old books, which I love dearly. Too much to read, and no time to do it!!

  17. I'm just about to finish "The United States of Arugula" (much better than I had expected) and have to decide on my next book since this one is due back at the library tomorrow! I definitely want to read "Eat, Pray, Love" since I haven't read it yet, and I've heard great things about "The Help"

  19. Great list. I've read Eat Pray Love and The Help and they are both amazing. I have a huge stack of books that I am waiting to dive into. But my current ready is $20 Per Gallon, which is one man's take on how the world will change as the price of gas gets higher and higher. It's pretty interesting!
