:: where do you go when you're gone...

(images via weheartit)

when you're gone...

you might possibly be pouring over fantastic novels.
gearing up to be an aunt.
buying early christmas presents.
or booking plane tickets to new york city in december.

you might be listening to john lennon on repeat.
or watching the star trek movie-- and loving it without shame.

you might be helping friends move into new houses.
or gathering those same friends together for cooking parties.
(bring your own ingredients, please.)

you might be gathering another group of friends together after a long time apart--
marveling at everyone's kids. jobs. and lives.

you might be coming together in faith with your family--
ever thankful for more undeserved miracles.

you might be donning warm fuzzy boots-- and star gazing.
or strategically plotting your cell phone upgrade.

you might be mentally planning road trips to chicago.
and putting in hours at work to get there.

you might be stumbling through corn mazes.
carving pumpkins.
roasting the seeds.

and trying to hold the christmas carols in till thanksgiving.

you might be baking biscuits & breads.
making soups.
and sipping earl grey tea lattes.

you might be peeking into the future--
while dancing in the present.

or...
at least that's what i've been doing.

quiet here.
but never gone, friends.

life is good.
