re-invention

been wandering woods.
collecting old sticks.
to carve down.
to re-invent.
to shed them of their rot.
and callus.
and give them fresh purpose.

i acquired some tools.
a carving knife.
a few chisels.
a gouge.

and i've gotten to work.
chipping away.
at what one day.
may be a handle.
or a walking stick.
or a butter knife.
or a pair of earrings.

when some more sizable wood is collected.
i'm hoping to create my own
wooden spoons.
shelves.
stools.

the possibilities are endless.
