i've always been so intimidated by canning.
homemade jam.
seemed so complicated.
so elusive.

but no more.

easily one of the simplest things i've ever made.
and one of the most delicious.

the apricot/vanilla bean variety is my favorite.

if you've ever, ever considered canning--
pick up a copy of this book.

and start storing away goodies.
for the winter.


  1. i definitely need to pull up my bootstraps and try this myself soon. there is nothing better than homemade jam and bread. :)

  2. Mmm!i wanna try this! What did you use to sweeten them? I know generally sugar is used, wondering if it's good with natural sweeteners.
